How to Request Deletion

You may request complete deletion of your MentionFox account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@mentionfox.com from the email address associated with your account.

Please use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" so we can process your request promptly.

What Gets Deleted

Upon receiving and verifying your deletion request, we will permanently remove:

• Account profile — name, email, password hash, avatar, preferences, and all settings.
• Clients and brands — all client/brand configurations, keywords, monitoring parameters.
• Scan results — all scans, mentions, and scan history.
• Leads and contacts — all closer_leads, person profiles, saved contacts, enrichment data, and dossiers.
• Outreach data — all campaigns, sequences, email content, and delivery records.
• Comparison reports — all Fox Compare and candidate evaluation data.
• GEO data — all GEO sites, promoter logs, and AI citation data.
• Files and uploads — any files you uploaded to MentionFox.
• Chat history — all Foxy (FoxChat) conversation history on your account.

What May Be Retained

• Anonymized, aggregated analytics — data that has been anonymized and cannot be linked back to you (page view counts, feature usage statistics) may be retained for product improvement.
• Legal obligations — billing records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations, typically for up to 7 years.
• Backup retention — encrypted backups are automatically purged on a rolling 30-day schedule. Your data will be removed from all backups within 30 days of deletion.

Timeline

• Acknowledgment: within 2 business days of receiving your request.
• Identity verification: we will verify that the request comes from the account holder.
• Deletion completion: within 30 days of verified request. You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete.
• Backup purge: within 30 days after primary deletion.

Before You Delete

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before requesting deletion, you may want to:

• Export your data — download scan results, lead lists, and reports from your dashboard.
• Cancel your subscription — if you have an active paid plan, cancel it first to avoid additional charges.
• Download comparison reports — save any Fox Compare or dossier reports you need.
