Widget Builder
The widget builder is a visual tool for creating embeddable social proof widgets. Everything you configure is reflected in a live preview so you can see exactly how it will look on your site before copying the embed code.
Opening the Builder
Navigate to Content Tools > Widgets and click New Widget. The builder opens in a split-screen view: configuration controls on the left, live preview on the right.
Choosing a Widget Type
Select from these widget types:
- Testimonial Slider -- a carousel of positive mentions that auto-rotates. Each slide shows the quote, author name, platform, and date. Best for homepage hero sections or pricing pages.
- Mention Feed -- a scrolling vertical feed of recent mentions. Updates in real time as new mentions arrive. Works well in sidebars or dedicated social proof sections.
- Social Proof Counter -- a compact badge showing total mention count, positive sentiment percentage, and platforms monitored. Ideal for headers or footers where space is limited.
- Wall of Love -- a masonry grid of positive mentions displayed as cards. Creates a powerful visual impact when you have dozens of testimonials. Best for dedicated testimonial pages.
Selecting Mentions
Choose which mentions appear in the widget:
- Auto-curate -- the widget automatically shows your highest-relevance positive mentions. New mentions are added as they come in.
- Manual selection -- hand-pick specific mentions from your mention library. Only those mentions will appear.
- Filter-based -- show mentions matching criteria you set (e.g., only Reddit mentions, only sentiment Positive, only relevance 80+).
Tip: Start with auto-curate to get your widget live quickly. You can always switch to manual selection later once you have identified your best testimonials.
Live Preview
The right side of the builder shows a real-time preview of your widget. Every change you make on the left -- type, colors, mentions, layout -- updates the preview instantly. You can also toggle between desktop, tablet, and mobile preview sizes to verify responsive behavior.
Saving and Publishing
Click Save to store your widget configuration. Click Publish to make it live and generate the embed code. You can edit a published widget at any time -- changes propagate to all embedded instances automatically.
