Building Testimonial Widgets
The widget builder creates embeddable testimonial displays for your website. Choose from six layout styles, customize colors and branding, then copy the embed code and paste it into any webpage.
The six widget styles
- Carousel — Auto-rotating cards, great for hero sections and above-the-fold placement
- Grid — 2-3 column layout for dedicated testimonial pages
- List — Vertical stack, ideal for sidebars and narrow columns
- Tickertape — Scrolling marquee for headers, footers, and persistent social proof banners
- Hover Slider — Interactive cards that pause on hover, engaging for product pages
- Masonry — Pinterest-style variable-height wall for visual testimonial galleries
Creating your first widget
Go to Embed Widget from the sidebar. Click "Create Widget" and name it (e.g. "Homepage Testimonials"). Choose a layout style, then configure which mentions to display — filter by sentiment (positive only for testimonials), platform, minimum engagement, or hand-pick specific mentions. Customize colors to match your website, preview live, then copy the embed code.
Performance tips
- Start with Carousel for your homepage — it's the most tested conversion format
- Use Tickertape for persistent social proof that scrolls across the bottom of every page
- Grid works best when you have 6+ testimonials to display
- Keep testimonial text concise — widgets with shorter quotes convert better than walls of text
Updating content
Widgets update automatically when you add new saved mentions to the content pool. You can also manually add or remove specific mentions from any widget at any time.
Quick steps
- Navigate to Embed Widget from the sidebar
- Click 'Create Widget' and name your widget
- Choose a display style from the 6 available options
- Configure filters: sentiment, platforms, minimum engagement
- Customize colors, theme, and branding to match your website
- Preview the widget live, then copy the embed code
